「Cultivation is simply to “become skillful with the unfamiliar and become unskillful with the familiar.” Learn to disengage from past delusions and conflicts, and become skillful at various forms of cultivation such as meditation and sutra recitation. Step by step, through commitment and patience, the sweet fruit will come with hard work. This is the best way to cultivate.」

Story 3: From Gaming to Robots

“One more round!” An’s eyes were locked on the screen, his fingers clicking fast.

It was his third hour of gaming that day.

His mom opened the door. “Don’t you want to try learning something new this weekend?”

He sighed. “Learning is hard. Games are fun.”

The next week, school launched an Arduino robotics class. The teacher held up a robot car. “By the end of term, you’ll build one of these!”

🟦【Interactive Question】👉 Would you sign up or give up because it seems hard?

An joined, but looked miserable. Circuit diagrams looked like hieroglyphs; code like alien symbols.

He kept soldering the wrong wires, burning chips. The teacher smiled and said, “Mistakes are part of learning.”

Two months later, showcase day came. An’s robot followed a light beam—and turned perfectly!

He proudly pulled his mom over. “I made this!”

Wires crisscrossed the table. Screens blinked. An’s frown faded into a smile as his robot moved for the first time.

Summary of Connection
An turned familiar playtime into a learning journey, and unfamiliar tech into skills—perfectly showing both sides of the path: turning familiar into unfamiliar and vice versa.
