Vowel Team Syllables

Every syllable in a word has one vowel sound. When two vowels appear next to each other in a word, they usually work as a team to form one sound. 

• The vowel team is part of the same syllable in the word. 
• The letters y and w can also be part of a vowel team.

作文草稿 . 心無所住

 弟弟的作文草稿！

四年級的弟弟，寫作似乎完全無障礙，應該說心無所住吧，不必考慮太多，寫就對了！好令人羨慕！

Education Technology ，媽媽通常放手讓弟弟自主完成閲讀與學習，媽媽只是關心一下與檢查功課而已。今天的主題比較特別，媽媽必須出面一起完成。

弟弟準備了一些 origami paper，設置好椅子，讓媽媽與他背對著背坐下，要用敘述的方式教導對方摺紙，這真的很困難！

媽媽教弟弟摺紙船，費了好大勁，才指導完成。
表達能力極差的媽媽，還真的下了一番功夫，

幸虧弟弟很會發問，作品才不至於慘不忍睹！

 科學現在進入 Life Cycle。昨天介紹了北極熊、螞蟻、青蛙的生命周期（Life Cycle）；今天學習植物的生命周期，介紹了 pea 與 tomato 的生長周期。弟弟突然問說：那香蕉怎麽種啊？好像沒看過香蕉種子。

是啊！香蕉樹好像是從根部長出新幼苗的，但并不確定，趕快找來視頻研究！

對學問的好奇心是成長、學習的好朋友！

What Are Irregular Verbs?

• Irregular verbs are verbs that don’t take on the regular –d, -ed, or -ied spelling patterns of the past simple (V2) or past participle (V3). 
• Many of the irregular V2 and V3 forms are the same, such as: cut – cut, had – had, let – let, hurt – hurt, fed- fed, sold-sold

Irregular verbs are also known as strong verbs. Here are nine that are used more often than the rest. These nine irregular verb examples also happen to be among the most commonly used words in the English language. They are: 

• Go

A plural noun names more than one person, place, or thing. 

• Add -s to most singular nouns to make them plural: pencil, pencils. 
• Add -es to singular nouns that end in -s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, or -z: class, classes. 
• Change the y to i and add -es to most singular nouns that end in a consonant and y: party, parties. 
• Add -s to singular nouns that end in a vowel and y: boy, boys.

A suffix is a word part added to the end of a base word that changes the word’s meaning. .

• The suffix -ment means “the act or process of” or “the state of.”

• The suffixes -ness, -ance, and -ence mean “the state or quality of.” 

For example, greatness, entrance, sadness, fragrance, experience, importance, guidance, confencence, allowance, happiness, illness, obedience, presence

• The suffix -age means “act of, state of, or collection of.” 

For example, storage (the act of storing/the state of being stored), anchorage, baggage, package, postage, beverage

媽媽很煩，講到相關題目，都要找相關故事念給弟弟聽，弟弟說我們又要上課上很久了。哈哈哈。。。

今天的主題是：How Can Words Lead to Change?

語言非常 powerful，也具有影響力，透過語言表達，人們可以將負面、不公的事情扭轉過來，引起大家的關注，從而改變不公。

慈濟靜思語也説‘口說一句好話，如口出蓮花；口說一句壞話，如口吐毒蛇。’所以真的要時時謹言慎行，那自己又做到了嗎？

今天再次與弟弟分享了慈惠法師《最美麗的情感》裏的 ‘拔掉心裏的毒箭’。

課文再一次介紹 Biography，而主題人物就是：Elizabeth Cady Stanton。

課文提及 Seneca Falls Convention，跟弟弟一起看了短片介紹。
