上頸椎 名詞

自 2022 年 8 月中開始，姐姐進行了第一次的上頸椎（Upper Cervical）調整，並展開為期數月的療程。直到 2024 年 8 月，在搬離 Dallas 前，她還做了最後一次檢查，頸椎狀況保持良好（holding good）。

不過，去年 12 月我們全家去滑雪時，姐姐嘗試 snowboarding，摔得相當厲害，媽媽光是在一旁看她跌倒就覺得很心疼。之後，她的 TMJ 疼痛又復發，本來想安排她飛回 Dallas 看原本的上頸椎醫師，順便探望朋友，但不是時間無法配合，就是機票價格太昂貴。

起初也沒有特別搜尋附近是否有上頸椎專科（Upper Cervical Chiropractor），媽媽一心認為家裡附近沒有。而且若是換到新醫師，療程可能得重新開始，不僅需要支付昂貴的初診費用，還得接受一整套療程。沒想到上網無意之間，竟發現家附近就有一家 Upper Cervical Chiropractor。雖然前期費用仍然不低，但因為地點方便，後續檢查與追蹤也容易得多。
